16 weeks to Christmas!!!

I can't believe it's the 31st of August today, 16 more weeks to Christmas!!

I was reading some of post on Facebook from my friends back home in Malaysia yesterday. It was a quick glance through whilst I was having breakfast. It seems like they had a good time celebrating Hari Raya ( Eid Mubarak). With all the pictures and post about visiting and food, I felt suddenly quite sad as I would like to be there for a change and join in the festivities, not mentioning the FOOD, FOOD FOOD!!. It seems like it's been many years since I had participated in any of the Malaysian Celebrations and IT IS. In the past 12 years since I came into the UK, I think I only managed to go home twice for Chinese New Year before my paternal grandmother passed away. I've not been back for any of the other celebrations at all.

Today, has been another down day for me. It's the Malaysian Independence Day Celebration and I have always told myself- this year you need to take a day off but I have never managed to. The last time I celebrated the day was 13 long years ago! Maybe I should make more of an effort from next year onward....

On the upside, I have a lot to be thankful for in life. It's 12 weeks to Christmas. I've been busy. Recently, my boys and me was camping in beautiful Cornwall for 2 weeks. We had great weather. There were so many family members and friend who joined us on the trip and it was great. I haven't been slacking tho... as I am quite determined to crack on with my side stuff... I was busy beading daisy chain necklaces, anklets and bracelets till I ran out of beads. It was only a trial but I got quite a few of them to bring back with me. I've also started to crochet a case for a pillow but I really need to get a start on my mystery blanket as I am really really behind. I should have started knitting it 6 months ago.

So now, I have a lined up a few places to go with Wendy and sell our hard work, earn some money back for it. This is because we are targeting towards the Christmas market.

To see out available products, please e-mail me at: loveyourqi@btinternet.com and I'll send you pictures of what we have in stock.
Or, alternatively please visit me at: www.loveyourqi.co.ok and sign up to our mailing list. The website has been altered accordingly and is still under construction to sell our products.

I will be quite busy for the next few weeks as I need to string as much as I can to get a decent stock for display during craft fairs.

If there is anything you want, please drop me a line, text or ring me and I will see if I can help in any way.

Till the next time.....

CUPPING THERAPY

Hello, Everyone

It's been a long long time since my last post.
Since then I have been quite busy, trying to do stuff, fit clients in according to my work schedule.

As some of you may well know, I have started stringing jewelleries as well.
All these takes time but it's been quite nice to do something different.
My hunk, Ian has been my faithful assistant sometimes helps me to string some bracelet, maybe it's relaxing for him too although he does mourn the loss of space on the dining table aka my workshop. We never use the table for eating anyway, it was space for him to paint his little figures and the boys use it too for that purpose when they come over. Either that or to be used  to set up for a war game.
My collection of plastic containers has grown as I went along- mainly to fit my gemstones, finding and ready made stuff.
I've got a table at a little place in September to sell my stuff. Apparently my hobby has rubbed off on Wendy (Ian's sister) and she is doing jewelleries with swarowski crystals. I am glad I have someone to share my obsession with as she is like an elder sister to me as mine is too far away to meddle with my stuff and correct me as I go along.

So now, QI is not only for holistic therapies but also for selling jewelleries. Someone is having a look into my website and will try to incorporate both holistic, selling my stuff online, etc etc.... all these are too complicated for me to do so Gareth has kindly suggested to sort it out for me. Yippee....

On the therapies front, I am still building up. Cromford is still a bit slow at the moment, I think it's because it's a nice small village and with holistic therapies- there will always be competition. My little clinic there is still going for my faithful followers whom I am so happy to see every 4-5 weeks. Anything else in-between, they are always happy to travel out to see me.
Derby site is another matter, I absolutely love Ian and Jess who runs nutrition first.  I now wished I had met the a lot sooner. They are happy with me ( I hope) and I am very happy to go in when I need to. They have really promoted me when they can, so fingers crossed things will get better soon. Jess always plies me with protein bars to keep my energy up and I tell you, she is one of the fittest muscular lady I know apart from Sue (the boxer - I endeavour to try and attend her boxing circuit class every Wednesday in my bid to lose some flab and tone up) and Lilian (my old time classmate).

I am proud to announce as from July 2011, I have also started doing cupping therapy/massage. I have seen positive results won my clients and on those who were not keen on their first introductory session, they have re-booked on it again as it has helped them to start doing their various activities again. The only downside with the therapy is that they do leave some marks/bruise depending on how it was performed. Some of my clients finds it funny and has described it as  'the roundworm marks'.
One of my male clients had even texted me 'Mrs Pain, Can I book in for more pain with your cups please?'  to which I take it as a compliment and assume that he had started running again whilst he was on holiday.

If anyone else wants to try these, please mail/text me to book in.

Till the next time....
